Tungsten Mesh offers excellent high temperature mechanical characteristics and smallest coefficient of thermal expansion among all metals.  It is used in the elevated temperature filtration applications. It has supreme thermal creeping resistance and maximum service temperature up to 3400oC. Tungsten mesh is extremely durable.

Aluminium wire mesh

Aluminum wire mesh is a wrought aluminum-magnesium family "5000 series" alloy, and offers the highest strength of all the non-heat-treatable aluminum grades. As with other aluminum alloys, aluminum offers excellent corrosion resistance, even in extremely corrosive environments. Its added magnesium (5.05%) and chromium (0.125%) content further enhance its superior corrosion resistance, particularly against seawater and salt spray. While it will lose strength if subjected to high temperatures (390°F to 480°F), its strength can be increased via cold working (note: aluminum 5056 cannot be heat-treated).
